Money Definitions

Money – something generally accepted as a medium of exchange, a measure of value, or a means of payment

Accrue – To accumulate or be added periodically

Assets – Entire property of a person or estate, applicable or subject to the payment of debts

Avarice – excessive or insatiable desire for wealth or gain : greediness

Borrow – Finance: To borrow money with intention of returning the same, plus interest

Business – A commercial or industrial enterprise; or mercantile activity engaged in as a means of livelihood

Cash – Ready money: (Money) or it’s equivalent (such as a debit card) paid for goods or services at the time of purchase

Credit – the balance in a person’s favor in an account or an amount placed at a person’s disposal by a creditor
Currency – Something (such as coins, treasury notes and banknotes) that is in circulation as a medium of exchange

Dark Money – contributed to non-profit organizations that is used to fund political campaigns without disclosure

Dollar – Various basic monetary units such as a coin, note, or token representing one dollar

Earn – To receive as a return for effort and especially for work done or services rendered

Easy Money – obtained without especial hardship or effort. Often, money obtained unfairly or improperly

Employ – To use or engage the services of. To provide with a job that pays wages or salary

Expense – item of business outlay chargeable against revenue for a specific period
Frugal – : sparing or economical with regard to money or food. ‘he led a frugal existence‘ synonyms: thrifty, sparing, economical, saving
Happiness – the quality or state of being happy. good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy.
Hush Money – paid so that someone will keep information secret. Money that a person pays to someone to hush something up

Income – a gain or recurrent benefit that derives from capital or labor; also : the amount of such gain received in a period of time

Inflation – a gain or recurrent benefit that derives from capital or labor; also : the amount of such gain received in a period of time

Inherit – to receive (property) from an estate by will or through intestate succession

Invest – the strategic purchase or sale of assets in order to produce income or capital gains.

Launder Money – Concealment of the origins of illegally obtained money, by means of transfers to foreign banks or legitimate businesses

Lender – A creditor or any entity to which money is owed for funds provided
Loss – : an amount by which the cost of something exceeds its selling price The business claimed to be operating at a loss
Millions – a thousand times one thousand. a number between 1,000,000 and 999,999,999, referring to an amount of money

Profit – A valuable return: Gain: the excess of returns over expenditure in a transaction

Rich – Having abundant possessions and especially material wealth

Slave – a person who is owned by another and can be sold at the owner’s will : of, relating to, involving, or used for slaves or slavery

Spend – To use money to pay for something

Startup – A new entrepreneurial business venture, seeking to meet a need by developing a viable business model around a product or service

Success – attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence
Taxes – Compulsory contribution to state or federal revenue, levied by the government on workers’ income and business profits

Wage – A payment usually of money for labor or services usually according to contract and on an hourly or daily basis

Wealth – A large amount of money and possessions : the value of all the property, money and possessions that someone or something has

Work – Activity that a person engages in regularly to earn a livelihood. To have a job
