However, what’s more important are the people who are still by your side even during difficult times when things aren’t going well, represented by “taking the bus” together when the limo breaks down.
The quote suggests one should value those who support you through both the highs and lows, not just the fair-weather friends attracted to surface-level prosperity.
Oprah appears to be advising that true friends are known by their loyalty through all of life’s ups and downs, not just during periods of success and celebration.
