B.C. Forbes: Accompaniment to Wealth

B.C. Forbes Money Quote saying true wealth also accumulates things that cannot be bought and that make that money worth having. B.C. Forbes said:
 

 

“The Juggernaut of dollar-making has crushed out of them every capacity for genuine enjoyment, every grace, every unselfish sentiment and instinct” — B.C. Forbes

 

 

In this quote, B.C. Forbes is criticizing those who are so obsessively focused on making money that it has destroyed their ability to experience real enjoyment and pleasure in life. He suggests that an excessive drive to accumulate wealth can crush out of people every ability for genuine happiness, as well as gracious, generous and caring qualities.

Forbes seems to be warning that pursuing dollars above all else may leave one financially successful but empty within, devoid of life’s deeper joys and human virtues. His message conveys that wealth should not become such a dominating “juggernaut” that it overwhelms one’s capacity for fulfillment, relationships and compassion.
