Disadvantages of wealth:

overengagement with manfactured, highly processed material things

underengagement with nature

need to transform, contain, and own that which the wealthy person admires, when it results in the loss of the admired attributes of the thing now possessed

overengagement with possessions as expressions of self-worth

belief that non-wealthy are lazy and dependent

inauthentic, mediated entertainment experiences

inauthentic, mediated "daily life" experiences

need to physically isolate from majority of human population

need to hoard or have sole access to things the wealthy person admires

disgust for natural "frailty" of physical self

unconscious delirium induced by the singularity of the experience of extremely exceptional wealth
